Abit opulent for a poor Jesus boy. Not that be grudge it you. Wonder what the rest of your comunal house mates thought while they had to do with bog standard Kwik Save. I once heard of a young women who had a gift of bubble bath from her parents and was almost made to feel like she had commited a mortal sin for having a bubble bath. Fleshy and worldly I think the phrase was. Do your other house members have acess to your blog or is that the domain of the high preist only. :-0 Hope your feeling guilty you sugar demon.

  10. Oh dear, you're a bit cynical. Why don't you come for a meal sometime and you can see for yourself that we live with a spirit of generosity.

Yes. Many of my church visit here.

My Son, I am so pleased you and a couple of your mates enjoyed the icecream I gave you. Ignore the idiot anonymous who seems to think you should go around in sackcloth and ashes and eat only humble pie; he's probably jealous. I am reminded that Jesus at the wedding, where perhaps he arrived late, turned water into the best wine, not bog standard, and I bet he and his disciples enjoyed it -- "in moderation of course" he says cynically. Love you.

No not jelious at all no green eyes monster in me but I am a little cynical yes. I do like to see fair play amongst those who set themselves up as our spiritual leaders. I don't like to see cheating. If all the rest of the group can indulge in the same delights that's fine. Tschaka is a fine man and I do actually like him and enjoy his posts. I don't expect to see him in sack cloths and ashes but a bit of humble pie and simple living is what he and his group preach that's what I expect to see. Things might have changed now but the story about the bubble bath was true. It may have just been a few over zealious house mates I don't know. Forgive me if I have gone overboard on my passion for equality. In this time of life I have had it to the back teeth of the do as I say but not as I do preachers.

well i am one of tschakas housemates and i definately don't have a problem with him enjoying some well nice ice cream! In fact, if i read the situation right, he seems to have shared it with some friends when presumably he didn't have to!!

Perhaps this is an example of the way equality and simplicity are best practiced in an environment of grace and prefering one another. If they are enforced by law and fear then that's not really the point is it? what a shame that hypocrisy watcher seems unable to find enough grace to extend to others and their small pleasures in life...you keep enjoying yourself tschaka!!!

I think Hypocrasy Watcher may be the biggest hypocrit of all, wanting everyone to see things only his way, rather like Bush and Blair telling the rest of the world what kind of democracy they must have - or be invaded! BTW Mr Hypocrasy Watcher, I am not a Christian or member of any other religion, so I can't be your or anyone else's spritual leader. I'm just proud to be Tscaka's dad.

I am so loving the fact that the shortest post I can think of on this blog, and the most random really, about icecream is getting such a huge amount of interest!

Nice to online "meet" you Tschakas dad

I think your son is big enough and ugly enough to fight his own battles now don't. He's very lucky I don't have one well I do but he's able.
Like father like son I guess see where he gets his arogancy from now.

The price you paid for that ben and jerrys icecream I could have feed a family of five. Why he has and you have to drop trade names like it a badge to brag over is perfectic IMHO at his age. Are you on a commision ? Especially a brand which promotes everything he hates about the evil world out side his little enclave.

Well lets wet my pants I've just aquired a hundred pound pair of Nike trainers :-0

Or should I say awol able certainly not. Anyway I think one of my issues is valid the JA profess to live by a common purse if so then all indivisual gifts should also belong to a common purse to recieve gifts and not share them with your house mates in the common pot and enjoy gifts that others in the group can not enjoy is cheating as far as I am concerned. Its nothing to do with begrudging or being jelious of anything. If I gave a gift to your son it would be for all his group. After all your son sacraficed his indivisuality and self to his church. That is what he tells us.

Just one cornetto give it to me delicious ice cream from Italy. La La La

  21. Sigh.

Paul, please don't be rude to my Dad - that's bound to get on my nerves.

You've made your point. It's been rebutted on several accounts. Leave it.

Sorry but I have to laugh...

To what extent should everything be divided up to make sure that no one is 'cheating'?

Imagine living in a community house of 40 residents... someone gets given a mars bar... do they chop it up into 40 peices just to make sure everyone gets their fair share!? As if anyone who has thrown it all away to live in community is that bothered about ice cream anyway!!

It's nice but it aint that nice!

Bless ya Hypocrisy Watcher, you're sweet. You might have a point underneath all that horrid cynicism but it's so well hidden I can't quite grasp it. Ah well. I'll live.
